boarding

We are extremely proud of our dog boarding program. We have large sized kennels for all sized doggos. We have beautiful yards, a puppy pool (when weather permits), and it is important to us that your pet is happy and comfortable.

Vaccination and Prevention Requirements

All dogs that come in for boarding must be up to date on Rabies, DA2PP (DHPP), Bordetella, Heartworm, and flea prevention. At all ages, bordetella, heartworm prevention, and flea prevention are a requirement. For dogs over 10 years of age with a regular vaccination regimen, updated DAPP and RV vaccines can be discussed depending on circumstances. These requirements are not optional as having them make sure that the other pets that stay with us are safe and protected also. Please bring in a copy of your dog’s health report from your veterinarian so we can keep the information updated in our system.

Boarding Fees

Bark Barracks = $41 day Second Dog (Same Kennel) = $21 Third Dog (Same Kennel) = $21

There are 2 kennels that are 6′ x 6′ both for the indoor area and the outdoor area. These can accommodate 3 small/medium dogs, 2 larger dogs (65 lbs or less), or 1 giant breed dog.

There are 7 kennels that are 5′ x 5′ inside and out. These can accommodate 2 small/medium dogs, 2 larger dogs (50 lbs or less), or one dog that is 65+ lbs.

The “outdoor” area connected to the kennels is fully enclosed. Dogs cannot be removed from the kennels from outside. We did this to make sure dogs can get fresh air and potty outside of their kennel in the middle of the night if necessary. However, the dogs would be safe and could not accidentally get out when in their kennel for the night.

Exercise, Socilaization, and Care

The happiness of these fur-babies is extremely important to us. We know that boarding can be a stressful experience and we try to do our best to reduce that and make each dog as comfortable as we can. We often have down time where we allow dogs out of their kennel to wander around the building and just chill. Often, it is much less stressful for them when they are not in their kennel most of the day.

We have two large yards and one small yard for potty time. Grassed areas and a puppy pool for playtime is a bunch of fun. Additionally, each dog will get human time and attention. Caveat: We assess each dog’s personality before we choose who is allowed to go out with other dogs and who needs to be exercised alone.

Accepted Dogs:

If you want your dog to spend time outside of the kennel during the day, your pet cannot be aggressive. If he/she shows aggression, they will have regular potty breaks, but we cannot allow them to mingle with other dogs if they could harm them.

In-tact males are accepted as long as they are not aggressive (there is a $5.00 additional charge for intact males as they usually mark, have to be watched closer around other dogs, and at times, tend to be more destructive).

In-tact females are welcome as long as they are not in heat. If they come into heat while here, there will be an additional charge of $10 a day and you will be charged for a diaper and sanitary napkins.

All spayed/neutered dogs are welcome.
